1937 Ford Model Y

  1937 Ford Model Y

A superb example of this iconic little Ford, first registered 21 April 1937. The car has had a full restoration in recent years, and runs and drives exceptionally well through its 3-speed gearbox, with good brakes. The structure of the car is A1, the paintwork is excellent, the upholstery is almost like new, including seats, carpets, door cards and headlining. Beneath the bonnet is nicely detailed, and even boasts its original oil can. The underneath of the car is equally good, as you would expect, and the wheels are very good, the four matching tyres are nearly new. We don't think you will find a better example for sale at the moment. V5C, history file.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange for other good MGBs or for pre-war/early post-war cars, and we offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

First registered on 1 January 1973, this comprehensively restored MGB is in very good condition all round. The bodywork, which is finished in the splendid 1970s colour Harvest Gold has been extensively renovated, with new sills, castle sections, jacking points, wings etc., resulting in a structurally superb car. The previous owner informs us that the engine was fully rebuilt and has been converted to run on unleaded petrol. Overdrive is fitted. Much of the interior has been renewed and is in excellent fettle. The car sits on alloy wheels with almost new Yokohomo tyres, it has Spax shockers all round. Excellent underneath, and detailed engine bay. The car has not been used since its restoration (genuine reason). Will come with new MoT. V5C, history file.

1929 Morris Minor OHC Folding Head Saloon

1929 Morris Minor OHC Folding Head Saloon

An increasingly hard to find overhead cam Morris Minor, restored in 1992. First registered 31 December 1929, so ideal for VSCC events and more. There is a photographic record of the body-off restoration, and the car has been well maintained since, although not used much in recent years. It is extremely sound and structurally very good, with well-fitting doors; the underneath is clean and tidy and well greased. The interior is good and the folding head works well. Good wheels and exhaust. The car starts and drives nicely through its later model 4-speed gearbox (the original 3-speed gearbox comes with the car). The paintwork is blemished, but perfectly acceptable unless you want to win a show. A nice, mature vintage car at an attractive price. V5C, history file including VSCC eligibility document from 2005.

1934 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

1934 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

A good little Austin 7, complete with sunroof and opening windscreen. The paintwork has some blemishes, the interior is partly re-trimmed, and spare fabric comes with the car to re-trim the front seats as well, if you choose. Headlining is fine, and the door cards have been re-covered. Sunroof operates nicely, and the charging system works. Starts, runs and drives well through its 4-speed gearbox. A small, towing box trailer built for the car is available in addition.

1937 Morris 8 Series I

  1937 Morris 8 Series I

This keenly priced example of the very popular Morris 8 Series I, is finished in dark blue and black, with blue interior. The car was obviously restored a number of years ago, and is very sound indeed. The underside is excellent, the paintwork is good but with some blemishes, and the interior is nice and original, lending great patina to the car. The headlining has been renewed at some stage. The door card pockets require some attention. This car starts and runs well, and drives nicely through its 3-speed gearbox. Brakes are hydraulic, as was standard on these vehicles, and the car stops very well. Overall, a good example for not a lot of money, making it an ideal 'starter' classic - come and have a look, we are sure you'll be pleased with what you see. V5C.

1996 Mini Sprite

  1996 Mini Sprite

High spec version of the Rover Mini Sprite, originally built in 1996. The car has been tastefully modified and improved in recent years, and as you can see looks fantastic, having been well maintained since. It is a dry suspension model, sitting on Mamba 13″ alloys with Nankang tyres. The 1275cc engine features a John Cooper works kit, so performance is very good, and this is further enhanced by the big bore stainless steel exhaust, which sounds great. The improved interior is very striking, and is in good condition. V5C and MoT to January 2017.

1937 Austin 7 Ulster Replica

  1937 Austin 7 Ulster Replic

This car was built around 13-14 years ago, to a very good standard. It is constructed on a long chassis, giving plenty of cockpit room. The engine is by Pigsty Racing, with all the desirable goodies, including Phoenix crank, Honda pistons etc. This is a quick car, with a raucous fishtail exhaust, more than adequate semi-girling brakes and an easy to use 4-speed gearbox with racing clutch. As the car is not 'straight out of the box', it has a lovely patina, and is just like stepping into an old racing car - the bodywork is by Rod Yates and is very good indeed. The underneath is excellent, clean and tidy. Needless to say, it is great fun to drive, and is road registered with V5C dating the car to 1 June 1937. This really is an excellent Ulster replica, and to the best of our knowledge, is cheaper than anything similar on the market - don't miss it!

1929 Austin Seven RK Saloon

  1929 Austin Seven RK Saloon

First registered on 23rd April 1929, this increasingly rare little Austin Seven comes with good and interesting history and is mainly original. The car is painted in a spectacular shade of yellow with black trim, and looks very attractive indeed, although the paintwork has had quite a few knocks as you can see from the photographs. Inside, the car has good headlining and original seats in Rexine (although the front squabs have been re-covered at some stage. It has part wind-up and part sliding windows, as is correct, along with sun visor most necessary for the British summer. The engine starts and runs well and has good oil pressure. Driving it is great fun, through its 3-speed gearbox the clutch is nice and quiet and not too harsh. The dashboard is nice and complete, with everything working. Underneath is clean and tidy. Good wheels and tyres. V5C and continuation logbook from 1949, also, original handbook and spare parts book. We think this is the original registration number.

  1929 Austin 7 Mulliner Saloon

A very rare and pretty little Austin Seven, in delightful condition. Bags of character and very cheeky! Restored some years ago, the car is in excellent structural and mechanical order, with good fabric to the bodywork and lovely patinated paintwork to the wings and bonnet. Starts, runs and drives well, complete with lovely brass King of the Road headlamps, sliding sunroof and opening front window. The interior is very good, including the headlining, the underneath is clean and the wheels and tyres are excellent. The car is ready to enjoy this year's rally season or just for trips out. There are not many of these cars left now. V5C and buff logbook.

1974 MGB GT with Overdrive

  1974 MGB GT with Overdrive

This is a very good example of the ever-popular MGB, finished in a great 70s colour, Harvest Gold, with dark navy blue interior. This car is in good, sound structural condition, having been the subject of much restoration in recent years. The paintwork is good although there are a few minor blemishes. The engine bay has just been repainted (engine out) and a new clutch has been fitted, together with a stainless steel exhaust. The car runs and drives very well and has a smooth overdrive on 3rd and 4th. There is a nice full-length Webasto sunroof, and sports alloy wheels with a good matching set of Uniroyal tyres which have not done many miles. This is a matching-numbers car and comes with a good history file, including the original MG Passport from the original supplier, J.C. Bates & Sons Ltd of Brighouse. V5C, Heritage Certificate and MoT to March 2017.

1935 Morris 8 Series

  1935 Morris 8 Series

Another super little Morris 8 in splendid condition throughout. Well finished in the popular colour combination of red and black, with only a few blemishes. The interior is very nice, with recently renewed headlining and carpets, and original seats and door cards, which add a lovely patina to the car. It starts, runs and drives superbly through its 3-speed gearbox and has the advantage of hydraulic brakes, which were a standard feature of Morris cars from this period. The engine bay is nicely detailed, and the underneath is very good, as are the wheels and tyres. There is a fold-down luggage rack at the back, and the car sports its original semaphore indicators. V5C. An absolute delight, not to be missed.

1957 MGA 1500 Coupe

  1957 MGA 1500 Coupe

Imported from the USA two years ago, this is a very sound example for straightforward restoration. From what we can see, the bodywork and chassis are good, with only a few areas of corrosion (we can supply photographs). Again, as far as we can tell, the car is complete, apart from one missing seat squab, radiator grille surround, one wing mirror, engine ancillaries - there may be other parts that we haven't spotted yet. The car is UK registered, with V5C and Heritage Certificate, following inspection and verification by the MG Owners Club - so none of the usual hassle with DVLA. A good, straight car which will make an excellent sports coupe. We think the original colour was Old English White.

1936 Austin Seven Open Road Tourer

1936 Austin Seven Open Road Tourer

A well-patinated example of the now quite rare AAL Austin Seven Tourer (a Ruby without a top!), finished in the very popular colour combination of dark blue and black. The paintwork is fairly good (with some blemishes), and the interior is good, as it has been re-upholstered at some stage. The floor mats are rubber and probably original. The canvas side screens and hood are very good, and there is a hood cover. Underneath, the car is clean and tidy, and the wheels and tyres are good. The car starts easily and runs well, with good oil pressure, and it drives very nicely through its 4-speed gearbox, with a nice, quiet clutch. All in all, a nice little car, ideal for summer motoring. However, some attention is needed to the door fit and a few minor jobs - this is reflected by the low asking price, so sorry, no offers. Current V5C.

1932 Morris Cowley 8cwt Light Van

1932 Morris Cowley 8cwt Light Van

A very original and rare 13.9HP Cowley van, which has been sympathetically restored by a professional motor engineer over the last 12 months. It is nicely finished in Oxford blue, with black wings and fabric top. The bodywork was generally in good condition, and it is therefore mainly original, only the running boards and wing valances have been replaced. It has been re-wired. Internally, the van is again, nice and original (and therefore rather basic!) The original seats have been retained and these add a nice patina to the interior. The chassis and running gear have been restored and repainted. The vehicle starts and drives as it should. An excellent vehicle for rallies, or for promotional purposes with lots of space for advertising graphics. The existing graphics can be easily removed. V5C. Ready to use.

  1974 MGB GT with Overdrive

An excellent MGB in very good condition. This car has been restored in recent years, including body work and the interior was re-trimmed more recently including seat covers and carpets. The paintwork is excellent with only a couple of minor blemishes and the structure of the car appears to be very good following its previous restoration work. Starts, runs and drives well with very lively performance, good oil pressure, nice gearbox and smooth overdrive. Good tyres. The car has recently had new brake pipes, radiator and battery (converted to 12 volt). It will come with new MOT, brake service and oil change. V5C. A super MG for regular use. Please note, this car is in Old English White, the photographs make it appear much 'whiter' than it is.

A nice little Austin Seven that has had a lot of time and effort spent on it over the last year or so, including a re-paint and re-wire. The bodywork is good, the underside is clean and tidy, and the car starts, runs and drives well through its 4-speed gearbox, with good oil pressure - even the fuel gauge works! There is a working sliding sunroof, excellent tyres, battery and exhaust. The interior is mainly original and rather worn, which you will either love, or choose to improve - the headlining is pretty good. A good first Austin Seven. V5C.

2002 NG TF 1800 with Overdrive

A superb example of this specialist motor car, which offers good performance, quality and a lot of fun, for not much money. The car was built in 2002 to exacting standards, the main mechanical components being MGB, including overdrive, and it is therefore very easy to maintain. The car is upholstered in red leather with matching tonneau and hood cover. It sports chromium wire wheels, with excellent Firestone tyres all round. Other notable features include unleaded engine, spax shockers, stainless steel exhaust, chrome luggage rack, wind deflectors, map light and much more. The car drives extremely well and we genuinely think you will not find another example as good as this, certainly not at this price, so no offers on this one. V5C.

This is an excellent four-door example of the ever-popular Morris 8, nicely finished in probably the best colour scheme, and complete with good, working sunroof. The car has been extensively restored (body-off) over the last few years and is in splendid condition. The bodywork is good, the interior is mainly new, but the leather seats are original, which adds a lovely patina to the car. The underneath is superb. Good chrome work.   1931 Austin 7 AF Tourer

A rare and very attractive aluminium-bodied short wheel base Austin Seven four-seater tourer. This model was the last of the tourers having Chummy-style doors. A cute little car, offering great vintage style motoring at a very reasonable price, particularly when compared with the price of a Chummy. The car is very nicely finished in 'biscuit' and black with only a few small blemishes. Nice, tidy interior in black - please note, that the car has its hood and side-screen frames, but no covering (fabric included). This has been reflected in the asking price. The engine, gearbox and carburettor have recently been rebuilt, and the car starts, runs and drives very well indeed, with good clutch and brakes - in fact, it is a delight to drive. It comes with buff continuation logbook from 1956, V5C, handbook and invoices for recent work completed.

Structurally very good, ie sills, castle sections, spring hangers, jacking points etc. Good hood, excellent interior with recent carpets, including boot. The car starts, runs and drives nicely with smooth overdrive and good oil pressure. Good, smooth engine, recent exhaust, good tyres on original Rostyle wheels. MoT until February 2017, V5C.   1947 Morris 8 E Series

This is an attractive example of the increasingly popular Morris 8 Series E, looking very smart in its red and black paintwork, which was renewed a few years ago. The car starts, runs and drives well, with good oil pressure and the underneath is very sound, clean and tidy. Inside, the seats and door cards are all original and the headlining was renewed fairly recently, but requires finishing around the sunroof. Chrome work is good. There are a few minor jobs to attend to, hence the asking price, but the car is on-the-button and ready to use. An excellent low-cost entry into the classic car market. V5C, and good batch of paperwork.

1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

What a marvellous find this is - an early RP model with 4-speed gearbox, and having had only two owners from new, the first one from 1933 to 2010! The car is mostly original including, we think, the upholstery. The headlining has been slightly altered, although much of it is original. The colour was originally blue and black, but apart from that, we don't think the car has changed much from the day it was built. The first owner was clearly very much involved with tennis, having a connection with the East of England and Bedfordshire School of Tennis. It appears to have the original Bedford registration number and we think even the original engine. This car starts on-the-button and runs very well, with really good brakes. Last MOTd to July 2013, and clearly it has been used regularly throughout its life. If you put a new set of tyres on this car, you would have a very useable 'oily rag' example and there aren't many of these around now. V5C, some history.

  1934 Morris Minor Two Seater

This car is a great introduction to pre-war motor cars. It is in good mechanical fettle, having just had a lot of restoration work carried out. The car starts, runs and drives well, the engine runs well with good oil pressure, and it has a very nice clutch and gearbox. The bodywork too, has been sympathetically restored, but the paintwork could be improved. The hood and side screens have recently been recovered, and the upholstery including seats, door cards and carpets has also been renewed. Good tyres. The car has been converted to 12 volt, and we think the engine is probably original. Comes with V5C, continuation book from 1966 and small amount of paperwork. Great fun and ready for immediate use - a lovely little car for not much money. Priced to sell, so sorry, no offers on this one.

A good car for restoration, being very original, and appearing to be sound. Recently imported from the USA - the dry state of California. As far as I can see, everything on the car seems to be correct, including the engine, which turns but doesn't run. Good chromework and seats, all dials present, original steering wheel. Good side screen frames, the canvas, as with the hood, is good for pattern-making. All taxes paid, HMRC NOVA certificate, also California ownership certificate. A straightforward restoration - well restored examples are fetching a lot of money now. A very worthwhile project, which will result in a very fine driving car.

1934 Standard Nine

  1934 Standard Nine

This is an excellent and very original car, with lovely patina. First registered in Rhyl in September 1934, it was then taken off the road in 1939 at the outbreak of war. Later, it was put into a museum, hence the low mileage, which a previous owner believes to be correct, although we have no proof. The car is in excellent condition, finished in dark blue and black. The chassis and structure are very good. The interior is really lovely, with original leather seats, recent headlining and carpets, and opening sunroof and front windscreen. It even has its original courtesy light. Good chrome work, good tyres. The car starts, runs and drives well, having been well maintained by its previous owner. It has a new exhaust, spin-on oil filter and su carburettor, making the car very useable and reliable. It comes with its original log book from 1934, an original instruction handbook and V5C.

1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

Originally supplied by R E Payton of Stockton Heath, Warrington, this Austin Seven was first registered in December 1933. It is an RP Model, so has 4-speed gearbox. It was restored back in 1981 by a previous owner in Llandudno, and is still in good working order now, although it has a few little blemishes, as you might expect. The paintwork is generally good, as is the interior, including good headlining, excellent seating and serviceable carpets. Good tyres, battery and exhaust. The car starts, runs and drives well, and the chassis and running gear all look to be in very good order. The previous owner acquired this little Austin in 2001, so it has had good, long-term ownership. It comes with buff log book dating back to 1961, old MOT certificates, old tax discs and current V5C.

1950 David Brown Cropmaster Tractor

  1950 David Brown Cropmaster Tractor

We are pleased to offer, on behalf of a very good friend, a stunning example of this 4 cylinder diesel tractor (serial number 10700). This is an early example, which has been fully restored by an ex-David Brown employee, including mechanicals, body work, paint work and even new wheels and tyres. Acquired from Norfolk, it was formerly owned by the late Wing Commander Kenneth Wallis, war-time bomber pilot, but better know for his development of the Autogyro, which he flew as Sean Connery's stunt double in the 1967 James Bond film 'You Only Live Twice'. It is in superb condition, ready to rally, and comes with V5C and old log book.

1934 Morris 8 Pre-Series

  1934 Morris 8 Pre-Series

This is an excellent early Morris 8, nicely finished in maroon and black, with black wire wheels, first class red interior and recent headlining. The car was fully restored a few years ago by a previous owner, the bodywork is excellent, with well-fitting doors and the underside is extremely good, including chassis and running gear. The engine starts easily and runs sweetly, oil pressure is good. The gearbox is a later four-speed unit, which makes the car more useable in modern-day traffic. It also has hydraulic brakes as standard. Ready for immediate use. V5C, buff coloured continuation book.

(Please note: these photographs were taken last summer, but the car has not altered - it is for sale only due to changed circumstances of the customer we sold it to last year. Weather here is not conducive to taking new photographs!)

1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

Not often do we come across such an original car - this little gem has stood in a barn since 1990. The couple from whom we bought the car had owned it since 1990, at which point, they stripped the bodywork down to bare metal and re-painted it in its original and attractive fawn and black colour scheme. The metal work was first class and no repairs were needed, and the bodywork is still in excellent condition, although there are a few minor areas which require a little attention. The doors fit well. The original sunroof operates, and the windscreen opens, although the handle is missing. The interior is totally original, and with a little work could certainly be used as is - in fact, it would be a pity to re-upholster it. The engine was rebuilt around 1990 and we have just finished putting it back together - it starts and runs well, although the petrol tank needs cleaning out properly. It needs re-wiring. V5, continuation log book from 1950 (only 5 owners since 1950). Lots of old photos. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a very original box saloon without the usual rusty body problems. Sorry, no offers on this one.

1941 Morris Series 'Y' 10 cwt Van

  1941 Morris Series 'Y' 10 cwt Van

This is an excellent example of the now quite rare 'Y' series Morris van, which started out life as a GPO telephone engineer's van. It was purchased by the current owners, for whom we are selling the van, in 1990, and we understand that it had only three previous owners. The last of these carried out a comprehensive restoration, winning several prizes. The vehicle has been used by the current owners for advertising their business, and for taking to shows. It is in extremely good condition, both mechanically and bodily, and runs and drives well. Ready to use for this year's shows or for advertising your own business. V5C.

1931 Austin 7 Boat-Tail 2-Seater

Built on 11 May 1931, this splendid little two-seater is as rare as hens' teeth - there are only 65 on the Boat-Tail Register, and of these, only 35 are on the road. This is therefore an excellent opportunity to purchase a piece of motoring history. It has just been extensively restored bodily and mechanically, and has driven only 30 miles (approximately) since the restoration. It is in superb condition, with first class bodywork, which we are told is original. Well-fitting doors. Beautifully finished in an attractive deep red with black wings. The underside of the car is just as good, as is the engine compartment. The interior has also been re-trimmed, the hood and side-screens are new, and all1931 Austin 7 Boat-Tail 2-Seater are very well-fitting. Newly refurbished wheels and new tyres. The car starts easily, has good oil pressure and drives well through its 3-speed gearbox. The whole car is in excellent, ready-to-use condition. Heritage Certificate, V5C. 15,750

  1947 Morris 8 'E' Series

A smashing car, finished in an attractive dark blue with black wings, and ready for immediate use. It is in very good condition, as it has obviously been well maintained throughout its life - it is in good structural order and is nice and clean underneath. The chrome work is good. The car drives very well through its 4-speed gearbox, the engine runs sweetly and has good oil pressure and there are hydraulic brakes. It has working semaphores, although flashing indicators have been fitted for safety. The interior is just what you want in an old car, with good, original, leather seats that have no damage, the headlining has been renewed, and the door cards and carpets are all good. There is a sunroof and opening front windscreen. This is a charming old car, good for regular use, and not to be missed. V5C, some paperwork.

Nice clean chassis underneath, the engine has just been rebuilt (July 2015). The paintwork is fair and the interior is good, including seats, door cards and headlining. The floor is carpeted. A pretty little Austin 7 in good condition. The car was extensively restored a few years ago, so the bodywork is very good with excellent panels and pretty good door fit. Good paintwork, apart from a couple of scuff marks on the rear which need attending to. The interior of the car is very presentable, although not entirely original and there is a sliding sunroof. Good chrome, very nice headlamps, nearly new tyres on very good wheels and nice running boards. Very clean underneath and it is likely that this is the original engine. All in all, a very useable and well-priced Austin 7, offering good value for money. Currently in our workshop for re-commissioning. V5C.

1947 Morris 8 Series 'E' Saloon

  1947 Morris 8 Series 'E' Saloon

A beautifully restored example of the ever-popular Morris 8, this being the later ?E? Series type with 4-speed gearbox and hydraulic brakes, making it a very useable classic motor car. The car is a credit to the elderly gentleman who carried out the restoration over a two year period, and parted with it reluctantly, due to his advancing years.

A thorough job was made of the restoration, both mechanically and bodily, as you can see from the photographs. The bodywork is truly superb, with everything fitting properly and the paint finish is excellent. The exterior is complemented by a fully re-trimmed interior, and the underside, engine bay and wheels are all mint. The tyres, exhaust and battery, have of course, been replaced and there are new brake pipes all round and a new wiring loom etc etc. V5C.

1931 Austin 7 RM Box Saloon

A smart little box saloon, recently refurbished after a long period of disuse (we are told, 40 years or so). This car was first registered in January 1932, and according to the V5C, had only 3 former keepers between 1932 and 2013. It has its original registration number, and we have a buff log book from 1942. The car is well finished in green with black wings, and the correct fabric top. It has just been reupholstered inside, apart from the headlining, which has clearly been replaced at some earlier time. Clean and tidy underneath. 3-speed gearbox, and 2 bearing engine. New tyres, good wheels. Needs some final tinkering.

  1932 Standard Little Nine

This is a splendid little car that had not seen the light of day for two years, having been carefully stored indoors by the previous owner. It has now been re-commissioned and serviced, and is ready to go. The car is in excellent condition, having been extensively restored a number of years ago. The underside and chassis/running gear are in fine fettle, and the bodywork is excellent, with only a few blemishes to the otherwise very good paint finish. The interior retains its original door cards, which are good, and it has recently been treated to new headlining. The seats were re-upholstered a few years ago and are first class. Working sun roof. This is a very attractive and original Standard, with nice patina, and should give hours of pleasure. The gentleman from whom we purchased the car owned it for 18 years, the V5C and original buff log book that accompany the car suggest it has had only three previous owners. Originally registered in Middlesex. Some paperwork, and photos of the rebuild.

Runs and drives as it should with overdrive on 3rd and 4th. Good oil pressure. The underside of the car is very clean, and as stated above, structurally very good. An excellent MGB, genuinely in very good structural order. (We probably only buy one in every ten MGBs that we are offered, as their condition is often so disappointing). This car has been owned by the same family for approximately 25 years, and comes with a good history file. The body has been properly restored, ie 3-piece sill kits etc. The panel fit is very good, and the paintwork, in original teal blue, is also very good, having been professionally re-sprayed after the body restoration. Recent clutch, engine bearings, lead-free head. This car drives as it should, with properly working overdrive, nice gearbox, clutch, brakes etc. Nice and clean under the bonnet, and the underside of the car is also nice and clean. Good oil pressure, good tyres on alloy wheels. The interior of the car is very good for its age, and there is a webasto sunroof. MoT to the end of October 2016, no advisories. V5C.

  1935 Morris 8 Pre-Series

First registered in June 1935, this two-door example of the ever-popular Morris 8 offers an excellent entry into the pre-war car scene. The car drives very well through its 3-speed gearbox, in fact it is the best driving Morris 8 I have had for a long time. Mechanically, the car is very good and looks to be structurally excellent, having been restored some years ago. The interior is excellent, with very good headlining, good door cards, and newly re-trimmed seats. Working sunroof. It has flashing indicators fitted for safety reasons. Even the fuel gauge works. The car is ready to drive and be enjoyed, and is priced to reflect the fact that the paintwork could be improved. It comes with some history and a green continuation logbook dating back to 1967. V5C. 1937 Austin Big Seven

  1937 Austin Big Seven

A super car, in excellent condition. The bodywork, which is finished in a very attractive shade of blue, is in really good condition, with only a few blemishes. It has clearly been the subject of an extensive renovation a few years ago, and has probably had new wings fitted at this stage. The interior is very good, with only a slight bit of damage to one of the door pockets. The sun roof fits and works well, the chrome work is good, the wheels and tyres are also good. All four doors fit well and the windscreen opens as it should. It runs and drives very well with its 4-speed gearbox, everything works.

These cars are very under-rated and now is a good time to buy one - prices are now rising as people have begun to realise how good they really are. This has all the charm of a Ruby but has much more space and is easier to drive, with better performance from the bigger 900cc engine.

An absolutely superb example, in splendid condition. The car has been fully restored, and a particular good point is that the original specification has been maintained. The paintwork, chromework, interior and structure are all excellent. The panel fit is good, and it is obvious that a professional body restoration, including sills, has been completed. The cars stands on good wire wheels with nearly new tyres. It drives very well indeed with good oil pressure, lively engine and quiet 4-speed gearbox with fully working overdrive. 1934 Austin 7 Ruby Mark I

  1934 Austin 7 Ruby Mark I

A jolly looking little car - finished in Westminster green with newly powder coated wire wheels (yes, they're red). Sound chassis and running gear, decent oil pressure, charging system works, as do the sempahores. Decent cream interior, starts, runs and drives fine, but the brakes need some adjustment. The bodywork is OK, but would benefit from some improvement. Good wings and the doors fit pretty well. A quick service and sort out the brakes and you'll be ready to go. History file, including old MoTs, photos of a rebuild back in the 1980s, copy of the buff log book. Pitmans' handbook, V5C. You won't find many Austin 7s for under 4,000 now, so no offers on this one.

1947 Wolseley 8 - Dark Green

  1947 Wolseley 8 - Dark Green

Produced from 1945 to 1947, the Wolseley 8 was quite an advanced motor car for its day. It was also well-equipped internally, with courtesy light, sun visor, rear blind, opening front windscreen and sliding sun roof. This particular example comes with all the above working well, and it drives very nicely indeed through its 4-speed gearbox (synchromesh on 2,3 and 4). Hydraulic brakes and relatively light steering. 'Easy clean' wheels. Very good condition, with good body work and paintwork, all finished in a most attractive shade of dark green. Clean and tidy underneath, sprightly engine and good transmission. The original spec for the car quoted: 918cc, 64mph, 33bhp and 36mpg. Original type engine (a badge on the engine shows that this was a replacement engine from Wolseley many years ago). This is a well-maintained vehicle, ready for use. Comes with history file including green log book, old MoT certificates, tax discs, original lubrication schedule and copy of original sales brochure. V5C.

1935 Morris 8 2 Seater Tourer

  1935 Morris 8 2 Seater Tourer

A smashing old car, restored a few years ago, and in very sound condition. Well-patinated throughout, giving that lovely 'vintage' feel. Drives very well, with good clutch, 3-speed gearbox, good oil pressure and good hydraulic brakes. The charging system works. Good paintwork, hood, side screens and interior. V5C, old V5 and buff log book from 1942. A super little motor car, which is great fun to drive, with plenty of room for two people and luggage (or dog!).

1934 Morris 8 Pre-Series

  1934 Morris 8 Pre-Series

This is probably the nicest-driving Morris 8 we have had for a long time. It starts, stops and drives through its nice 3-speed gearbox very well. The clutch is good, as is the steering etc. This appears to be a very sound car which was restored a number of years ago. The engine runs very well with good oil pressure and the charging system works well. Good paintwork and interior with nice patina. Properly fitting and working sunroof, semaphores and indicators all working simultaneously. Nice, noisy claxon type horn! Nearly new tyres. Ready for immediate use. Inexpensive at 5995 - so sorry, no offers.

1975 MGB V8 Roadster

  1975 MGB V8 Roadster

A great MGB, which has been very well converted (approx. 15-16 years ago) to V8 spec, including fuel injected 3500cc Rover Vitesse engine with 5-speed gearbox. Proper V8 back axle. Telescopic rear shock absorbers. Recent new fuel tank. This car is in very good condition, nicely finished in a rich shade of red (a few blemishes to the paintwork to sort out), with black interior, including leather seats, all in excellent condition. Good hood. Almost new, quality alloy wheels with good Yokohoma tyres. Good chromework, and excellent underneath - it looks as if it has had new castle sections at some stage, so structurally good. This car is very, very quick and not for the fainthearted! It is a fantastic, fun car especially with the top down. V5C and history file. MoT to May 2016.

1935 Morris 8 Pickup

  1935 Morris 8 Pickup

This Morris 8 Pickup has been expertly and recently converted from the original 1935 2-door Series I saloon, and it is a real delight. It is in near-perfect condition, as you can see from the photographs and has been rebuilt from top to bottom. The underneath of the vehicle is tip-top (painted, and very clean), the bodywork is well finished and the interior is also like new. It starts on-the-button, the engine runs sweetly, and it drives very well through its 3-speed gearbox. The brakes, which are hydraulic, are very good, and the tyres are nearly new. This is the best adaptation from a saloon that we have seen, and although the rear pickup section is not one hundred per cent authentic, this in no way detracts from the character and quality of this lovely vehicle. It is ideal for advertising, (the lettering can easily be removed for you to apply your own) or for entering in many of the regular shows. Good for regular use. V5C, history file. Original registration number.

We will have this vehicle with us at the Beaulieu International Autojumble this weekend - 5/6 June - Stand G43/44

A genuine and lovely old vintage motor car, in nice, vintage condition. Mechanically, very good, runs like a dream and drives pretty well through its 3-speed gearbox. Fairly good interior, too, including headlining, sliding sunroof and opening front window. There is a nice vintage feel to this car, and plenty of space for the family (and dog!) with luggage rack on the back. the fabric body is in fairly good order, with no rips that we can see. Chassis, running gear etc are good, the engine has been rebuilt. V5C and old buff logbook, some history.

1935 Morris 10/4 Series II

  1935 Morris 10/4 Series II

First registered in January 1936, this car is really delightful. It has been fully restored over recent years, yet retains a lovely patina. Excellent mechanics (newly rebuilt engine), superb bodywork with only a few minor blemishes (commensurate with age of repaint) and finished in perhaps the nicest colours of dark green and black. Superb quality interior with new headlining, leather seats, new door cards, carpets etc.

All the quality fittings are still there. All dials and gauges work, including semaphores, correctly operated from the centre of the steering wheel.

The underside of the car, including running gear, floors, chassis etc are all excellent and clean. Nearly new tyres on spoked wheels. Starts, runs and drives well through its 3-speed gearbox. Good oil pressure, 12 volt.

Buff log book from 1956, V5C, MoT to August 2016. This is one of the nicest cars we have had for a long time. A lot of quality motor car for the money.

1938 Austin Big Seven

  1938 Austin Big Seven

A smashing little car in really good condition. It has clearly had a lot of work carried out over the years, including a repaint. The bodywork is good, finished in maroon, with black wings, and there is a very nice patina. Working sunroof. The interior is good, partly original, which adds to the charm of the car and the headlining has been replaced. Mechanically, the car is good and has recently had a new clutch fitted. Drives well through its 4-speed gearbox.

These cars are very under-rated and now is a good time to buy one, before prices rise quickly, like they have with the Austin 7 Ruby. This has all the charm of the Ruby, but has much more space and is easier to drive, with better performance from the bigger 900cc engine. V5C, continuation book from the 1950s, lots of paperwork.

Nicely finished in black and green, with complimentary tan interior which is also in excellent condition. The headlining is extremely good, and the sunroof operates well. The underneath of the car is 'spot on' and the tyres are good. Other features include a vintage fire extinguisher on the running board, rear window blind, sun visor and two nice motoring badges on the front.   1932 Austin 7 RN Box Saloon

Good 'entry level' Austin 7. This example was taken off the road in 1994 and we understand that the engine was fully rebuilt at this stage. The car was then dismantled, and the owner began its restoration. He didn't get very far, however, and sold it two years ago to a gentleman who continued the restoration, including a mechanical overhaul. It is now very well presented underneath, the interior is good - much of it new, the engine runs sweetly, it has four good tyres and a new exhaust. Unfortunately the paintwork is not so good. This is a good, sound car which needs a little finishing (a few minor jobs) as the car has not been used following the restoration work. Ideal for young person to learn on. V5C.

1937 Morris 10/4 Series II Saloon

What a marvellous and handsome motor car this is! This Morris is a really excellent example of its type, a high quality car with 1300cc engine, nice, 4-speed gearbox and hydraulic brakes. Inside, this car's quality fittings include rear window blind, door pockets and cord door pulls, semaphore mirrors and art deco dashboard. This car is in really good condition, having been fully restored in recent years, including chassis, running gear and engine, body and upholstery. Underneath is excellent. The bodywork is well finished in two-tone maroon and black and complimented by its lovely interior. The car starts on-the-button (12volt) and runs and drives well. It has working semaphores and flashers for safety.

Here is an extract from an article in The Practical Motorist July,1935: ... 'The '30' mark on the speedometer is picked out with a heavy red line which acts a precaution against exceeding the speed limit' ... !!!!

  1932 Austin 7 Box Saloon

This is a super example of the ever-popular Austin Seven Box Saloon. This particular car is quite desirable, being a very late RN model and therefore having a 4-speed gearbox and RP-style dashboard. The car is in excellent condition top and bottom, having been restored over recent years, and is finished in two-tone colours with restored interior. All in very nice order, good tyres and exhaust. The car has been carefully stored for approximately three years (the last MoT expired in 2012). Yesterday, we put fresh petrol in the tank, cleaned the carburettor, charged up the battery and after a few short trips, it is now running very well. The numbers suggest that this car has its original engine. V5C and some history.

An absolutely superb car, in terrific condition, designed by Georges Roesch with body by Darracq - only 8 of these cars are believed still to be in existence. Around 1997, a ten year body-off restoration was carried out, resulting in what can only be described as a splendid motor car. First class interior, body and mechanics. These cars have a 6 cylinder 1666 cc engine, with Wilson pre-select 4-speed gearbox, reputedly giving around 65mph cruising speed. 14 hp rating, 12v electrics, 16" drum brakes. A very well designed and advanced car for its day. V5C.

We have now drastically reduced the price of this car for a genuine quick sale - space needed. Part-exchange gladly considered for a smaller car. No offers - this car is priced 1000s under any others for sale in this condition. Car is located near Leyland, Lancashire.

1937 Morris 8

  1937 Morris 8

An inexpensive two-door Morris 8 with sunroof. The paintwork is quite good, and the interior is good - good seats and door cards and recently re-carpeted floors. Finished in one of the most attractive colour combinations of blue and black, with chrome radiator. The car starts easily, the engine sounds good, and the gearbox and clutch work well, the charging system works. The car does need a full service as it has not been used very much recently. V5C. A good 'starter' classic.

1934 Austin 10/4

  1934 Austin 10/4

This is a very good example of the chrome radiator version of the Austin 10/4. The car has undergone considerable restoration over the years, both mechanically and bodily. The car is nicely finished in the most popular colour combination of green and black, with excellent upholstery, including new headlining. The paintwork is nicely patinated, so with one or two minor imperfections here and there, good powder coated wire wheels, very good chrome work. Good chassis and running gear, flashing indicators fitted for safety, semaphores also work. 12v system, starts and drives well, good oil pressure. Slightly noisy clutch bearing (often the case with Austins). V5C. A nice old pre-war car in good all-round condition.

1935 Austin 12

  1935 Austin 12

Newly out of hibernation and having only been out once in the last six years, this is an excellent car, in superb structural condition. First class bodywork, well-finished in black. The interior is mainly original and nicely aged, including seats, door cards - the carpets are a bit worn. The headlining has been replaced in recent years. Working sunroof. The car starts on-the-button and all the mechanics work fine, although it could do with a good service and a long run. 4 cyl. engine, excellent 4-speed gearbox, good wire wheels with spare. With a little bit of work, this will be an absolutely superb car. V5C. Offered at a very realistic price.

1936 Austin 10/4 Open Road Tourer

1936 Austin 10/4 Open Road Tourer

This is a lovely and very original old motor car, well patinated. The interior is very original and does need some improving, but we are happy to discuss an allowance in the price to cover the cost of attending to the front seats. The car starts on-the-button and drives quite well. Good, sound chassis and bodywork, recent canvas hood. The car also comes with a full set of side-screens, hood cover, tonneau cover and even a trunk. Ideal for family outings! Some history, including V5C, green continuation book from 1959. A delightful original pre-war car, the like of which is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

1935 Austin 7 Ruby Mark I For Full Restoration

1935 Austin 7 Ruby Mark I For Full Restoration

We have recently unearthed this little Ruby from storage in the South West, and it is in a very sorry state awaiting rescue. It requires complete restoration (as you can see), comes with V5C and is registered with Swansea. It seems to be fairly complete, although the headlamps, starter motor and dynamo are missing. Carburettor will be supplied. The chassis is sound, the bodywork is rough but restorable. It would make a good special if you don't want to restore the body, particularly as it has the V5C, therefore registration number, and chassis and car plates.
