1935 Morris 8 Pickup

  1935 Morris 8 Pickup

This Morris 8 Pickup has been expertly and recently converted from the original 1935 2-door Series I saloon, and it is a real delight. It is in near-perfect condition, as you can see from the photographs and has been rebuilt from top to bottom. The underneath of the vehicle is tip-top (painted, and very clean), the bodywork is well finished and the interior is also like new. It starts on-the-button, the engine runs sweetly, and it drives very well through its 3-speed gearbox. The brakes, which are hydraulic, are very good, and the tyres are nearly new. This is the best adaptation from a saloon that we have seen, and although the rear pickup section is not one hundred per cent authentic, this in no way detracts from the character and quality of this lovely vehicle. It is ideal for advertising, (the lettering can easily be removed for you to apply your own) or for entering in many of the regular shows. Good for regular use. V5C, history file. Original registration number.

1934 Morris 8 Pre-Series

  1934 Morris 8 Pre-Series

Excellent, early Morris 8, nicely finished in maroon and black with black wire wheels and first class red interior, and new headlining. The car was fully restored a few years ago by the previous owner. The underside is excellent, including chassis and running gear and the bodywork is also excellent with well-fitting doors. This car has just been through the workshop and has been fully re-commissioned after a couple of years' inactivity. The gearbox has been rebuilt, a replacement back axle has been fitted along with two new tyres, and the car now drives very, very well. The engine starts easily and runs sweetly with good oil pressure. The gearbox is a later 4-speed unit which makes the car much more useable in modern day traffic. It also has hydraulic brakes as standard. V5C, buff coloured continuation book.

There is a large history file with the car, V5C, and nothing needs doing - just get in and drive! A well restored car, not to be missed at this price.

This is an excellent four-door example of the ever-popular Morris 8, nicely finished in probably the best colour scheme, and complete with good, working sunroof. The bodywork is good, the interior is mainly new, but the leather seats are original, which adds a lovely patina to the car. The underneath is superb. Good chrome work. Starts, runs and drives well with good oil pressure and the advantage of hydraulic brakes. Nearly new tyres and good wire wheels.   1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

This is the 'de-luxe' model of the famous Austin 7 Box Saloon, in this case an RP model, with chrome headlamps and radiator surround, and sunroof. This example is in excellent condition, having been fully restored some years ago. It has been well maintained since, and runs very well, with good oil pressure. Nicely finished in black and green, with complimentary tan interior which is also in excellent condition. The headlining is extremely good, and the sunroof operates well. The underneath of the car is 'spot on' and the tyres are good. Other features include a vintage fire extinguisher on the running board, rear window blind, sun visor and two nice motoring badges on the front. All in all a very, very good car, ready for the show season, or popping off down to the pub! V5C. Some history.

1932 Austin 7 RN Box Saloon

1932 Austin 7 RN Box Saloon

Good 'entry level' Austin 7. This example was taken off the road in 1994 and we understand that the engine was fully rebuilt at this stage. The car was then dismantled, and the owner began its restoration. He didn't get very far, however, and sold it two years ago to a gentleman who continued the restoration, including a mechanical overhaul. It is now very well presented underneath, the interior is good - much of it new, the engine runs sweetly, it has four good tyres and a new exhaust. Unfortunately the paintwork is not so good. This is a good, sound car which needs a little finishing (a few minor jobs) as the car has not been used following the restoration work. Ideal for young person to learn on. V5C.

The engine runs sweetly, everything works well, and we have just fitted a new battery. New MoT (to May 2016). History file with old MoTs and invoices. V5C.   1937 Morris 10/4 Series II Saloon

What a marvellous and handsome motor car this is! This Morris is a really excellent example of its type, a high quality car with 1300cc engine, nice, 4-speed gearbox and hydraulic brakes. Inside, this car's quality fittings include rear window blind, door pockets and cord door pulls, semaphore mirrors and art deco dashboard. This car is in really good condition, having been fully restored in recent years, including chassis, running gear and engine, body and upholstery. Underneath is excellent. The bodywork is well finished in two-tone maroon and black and complimented by its lovely interior. The car starts on-the-button (12volt) and runs and drives well. It has working semaphores and flashers for safety.

1932 Austin 7 Box Saloon

  1932 Austin 7 Box Saloon

This is a super example of the ever-popular Austin Seven Box Saloon. This particular car is quite desirable, being a very late RN model and therefore having a 4-speed gearbox and RP-style dashboard. The car is in excellent condition top and bottom, having been restored over recent years, and is finished in two-tone colours with restored interior. All in very nice order, good tyres and exhaust. The car has been carefully stored for approximately three years (the last MoT expired in 2012). Yesterday, we put fresh petrol in the tank, cleaned the carburettor, charged up the battery and after a few short trips, it is now running very well. The numbers suggest that this car has its original engine. V5C and some history.

1934 Talbot 65AX Light Saloon

  1934 Talbot 65AX Light Saloon

An absolutely superb car, in terrific condition, designed by Georges Roesch with body by Darracq - only 8 of these cars are believed still to be in existence. Around 1997, a ten year body-off restoration was carried out, resulting in what can only be described as a splendid motor car. First class interior, body and mechanics. These cars have a 6 cylinder 1666 cc engine, with Wilson pre-select 4-speed gearbox, reputedly giving around 65mph cruising speed. 14 hp rating, 12v electrics, 16" drum brakes. A very well designed and advanced car for its day. V5C.

We have now drastically reduced the price of this car for a genuine quick sale - space needed. Part-exchange gladly considered for a smaller car. No offers - this car is priced £1000s under any others for sale in this condition. Car is located near Leyland, Lancashire.

The interior is very original and does need some improving, but we are happy to discuss an allowance in the price to cover the cost of attending to the front seats. The car starts on-the-button and drives quite well. Good, sound chassis and bodywork, recent canvas hood. The car also comes with a full set of side-screens, hood cover, tonneau cover and even a trunk. Ideal for family outings! Some history, including V5C, green continuation book from 1959. A delightful original pre-war car, the like of which is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

1935 Austin 7 Ruby Mark I For Full Restoration

1935 Austin 7 Ruby Mark I For Full Restoration

We have recently unearthed this little Ruby from storage in the South West, and it is in a very sorry state awaiting rescue. It requires complete restoration (as you can see), comes with V5C and is registered with Swansea. It seems to be fairly complete, although the headlamps, starter motor and dynamo are missing. Carburettor will be supplied. The chassis is sound, the bodywork is rough but restorable. It would make a good special if you don't want to restore the body, particularly as it has the V5C, therefore registration number, and chassis and car plates.

Please telephone for further information.

1966 Morris Minor 1000

  1966 Morris Minor 1000

Meet Gladys! An excellent example of the iconic Morris Minor, named by a previous owner after Nurse Gladys Emmanuelle from Open All Hours – she drove one just like it! The car is finished in the famous Morris Minor light blue (known as Smoke Grey we believe), recently re-trimmed including seats, carpets and headlining. £1000s have been spent on this car, including restoration work at the Morris Minor Centre Ltd in Bath (it has now moved to Bristol), leaving it in very good all round condition. This is the more desirable four-door model, which is a delight to drive, it goes very well, changes gear well and stops well. Starts on the button. Morris Minors fill the gap between modern motor cars and pre-war motor cars – they are easier to drive, go more quickly and are still a great deal of fun. So if you find that vintage cars are not quite right for you, but want something a little different and interesting, you should come and give this a try. We are sure this would make a good ‘daily user’. V5C, MoT to May 2015, lots of old invoices.

Vintage 1930 Austin 7 RL Box Saloon

Vintage 1930 Austin 7 RL Box Saloon

Ideal for you VSCC boys (and girls), this little RL Saloon was built in November 1930. It has been barn-stored for many years and is in need of some renovation. The car is basically sound and the engine has good compression, but it isn't running at the moment. The front seats are very good and the rear seats are quite good. The headlining and door cards are acceptable. This is a very original car, but it has no paperwork. However, the chassis number is clearly stamped on the chassis, and the body number is stamped on the propshaft tunnel, together with the RL initials. The engine number would indicate that it is probably the original engine. We think it would be quite straightforward to register this car. Vintage Austin Sevens are now becoming quite difficult to find.

1936 Austin 7 Ruby Mark II

1936 Austin 7 Ruby Mark II

A true 'oily rag'. This car is not for the concours entrant, but for someone who wants an original car that drives well and where everything works. Use as is, or restore. This car has been used regularly until very recently, including many European tours with the gentleman from whom we bought the car, who had owned it since 1976 and called the car Clarice. (Headlamps have been changed for more modern ones). V5C and continuation log book dating back to 1961. A superb time-warp car ... a little yellow gem.

1937 Austin Big Seven 6 Light 4 Door

1937 Austin Big Seven 6 Light 4 Door

For full restoration. An excellent and worthwhile project, as these cars are marvellous when in good condition, with all the charm of a Ruby but more space. The engine has already been worked on, including re-bore, new pistons/rings, bearings etc. It has the better Austin 8 engine, a very common upgrade. The car starts, runs and drives and the gearbox, drive train and brakes all operate. The chassis is very sound, the bodywork is reasonable but the interior is very poor. V5C and we are told this is the original registration number (non-transferable).

1935 Morris 8 Pre-Series

  1935 Morris 8 Pre-Series

First registered in June 1935, this two-door example of the ever-popular Morris 8 offers an excellent entry into the pre-war car scene. It has just passed its MoT with no advisories, and drives very well through its 3-speed gearbox. Mechanically, the car is very good and looks to be structurally excellent, having been restored some years ago. It has a very original feel about it, with original leather seats, working sunroof, opening windscreen and working semaphores. It has also had flashing indicators fitted for safety reasons. Even the fuel gauge works. The car is ready to drive and be enjoyed, and is priced to reflect the fact that the paintwork could be improved. It comes with some history and a green continuation logbook dating back to 1967. V5C.

We are pleased to offer for sale this absolutely delightful motor car. The car was restored a number of years ago and has been superbly maintained since. The black paintwork is excellent, with only a few minor blemishes and the chrome work is also excellent. The interior is mainly original ie seats, door cards and headlining, all in terrific condition and adding to the overall patina of this lovely car. The carpets have been renewed in recent years and match well. The under-bonnet, boot area and chassis are all very good, and there is a stainless steel exhaust system. The car starts, runs and drives well, with good oil pressure. V5C and history file. This car is a real gem, not to be missed.

1937 Austin 7 Ruby Mark II For Full Restoration

1937 Austin 7 Ruby Mark II For Full Restoration

This is a very unusual, partly coach-built Austin 7 Ruby with an interesting history. It was purchased by the Head of the Admiralty in Bath in 1957 for his son, the current owner (for whom we are selling the car). It had been used during the Second World War as a security surveillance vehicle at Cardiff docks. Little else is known about the car. It differs from the standard Ruby in that the bodywork, from just behind the windscreen all the way to the rear (excluding the doors) is coach-built in aluminium. We think this work may have been carried out by naval apprentices, but this is only a guess. The resultant bodywork is very similar to an original Ruby, but there are slight differences to the window openings and the boot. Mechanically, the car appears to be original, but the shock absorbers have been changed, as has the fuel tank at the rear. There is a small, additional fuel tank which was mounted under the bonnet. The only other difference is that a large, single lamp has been added into the radiator grille, as you can see from the photographs. The car is in need of full restoration, but work has been started ie stripping of paint, sandblasting of wings, bonnet etc. There are some new floor panels. This would make a rewarding renovation project for someone wanting a unique vehicle. Comes with current V5C.

1938 Austin Big 7

  1938 Austin Big 7

Smashing little car in really good condition. It has clearly had a lot of work carried out over the years including a repaint. The bodywork is good, well finished in maroon with black wings. Complete with working sunroof. The interior is very good, partly original, which adds to the charm of the car, and the headlining is new. Mechanically the car seems good but it has not been used recently, owing to personal circumstances.

These cars are very under-rated and now is a good time to buy one before prices rise quickly like they have with the Austin 7 Ruby. This has all the charm of a Ruby but has much more space and is easier to drive, with better performance from the bigger engine. This little car comes with V5C, continuation logbook from the 1950s and lots of paperwork.

A superb little chrome radiator Austin 7, which drives like a dream. Everything works, even the petrol gauge, and it charges! Superb structural order, having been rebuilt a number of years ago, obviously at great expense. Excellent upholstery, hood and side screens, good body work. Wheels and tyres are excellent, as is the chassis and running gear. Excellent engine with good oil pressure, quiet clutch, and nice, 4-speed gearbox. Brand new battery. I have had great fun driving this around a little. V5C.

One of the last of the Austin 7 Ruby models to be made, and one of the first de-luxe models to have the 'on top' metal sunroof. The model ceased production in January 1939.

The car has a 4-speed gearbox, girling brakes (rod brakes at the back) and 3 bearing engine. This is a very original motor car in good, sound order, with original seats in good condition and original type rubber mats. The headlining, door cards etc have been renewed at some time. A very nice vintage OHC engined Minor, now becoming quite difficult to find. Restored a number of years ago, and finished in a nicely patinated red and black, with excellent interior. Good, working folding head and headlining, excellent wheels and tyres, the chromework and underside of the car are all very good. This is a good car for VSCC events - a VSCC eligibility certificate comes with it - and it was timed at 55 mph in July 2004. Runs and drives nicely, new clutch, new gearbox bearings. 1932 Morris Cowley Light Van

  1930/32 Morris Van

This is a good, sound example of a very rare Morris Cowley Flatnose van, which has recently been discovered after long-term storage in Northern Ireland. It is ideal for a relatively easy and extremely worthwhile restoration. Apparently, the engine will run although we have not started it ourselves yet.
It has a magneto engine with dynastart. There is no battery fitted or electrical ancillaries. There is no paperwork with the van, but there is a chassis plate and this dates the vehicle to mid 1932. We think the engine is the original as the number on the engine matches the number on the identification plate. The Morris Register will help to register this vehicle, and as it has a clear identity, this should not be a problem.
The van measures approx. 13'2" in length, 60" wide, and 78" high.

Please telephone to discuss the van.

1934 Rover 10 Light Sports Saloon

1934 Rover 10 Light Sports Saloon

A rare and beautiful beast! This car is a real delight to own and drive. It was a very advanced car in its day, and quite luxuriously fitted out inside. Here are some comments from a journalist describing the car in 1934:

...'a genuine speed of 65-67 mph against a strong headwind on wet roads ...'
... 'swooping acceleration' ...
... 'remarkable braking'...
... 'absurdly easy gear change'...
... 'no discomfort at high speeds over rough, uneasy surfaces' ...

So as you can see, this is some motor car! It is in great condition throughout and runs and drives extremely well with its 4-speed gearbox and freewheel facility. Leather upholstery, dark blue carpets throughout, sunroof, opening front screen and twin wipers (please note, the front flasher has been reattached). Very spacious inside. Extensive history, handbooks etc. V5C. One not to be missed.

Austin 7 Mulliner Sports Replica (1930)

This is an excellent re-creation of the rare Mulliner 2 Seater Sports, built during 1929, 1930 and 1931. Original 1930 chassis, running gear and radiator, with newly built fabric-covered body and aluminium bonnet, all finished to a very good standard. This car is great fun to drive, with its 3-speed crash box and slightly ‘breathed upon’ engine. The engine has been fully rebuilt, with improved oil pump system, big sump, high compression polished head, balanced combustion chambers, new plus 0.030 pistons, ALR inlet manifold, 4-branch exhaust manifold and SU carb. The car is registered with the DVLA after authentication by the Pre-War Austin Seven Club. V5C. All in all, a great, very good-looking car for not much money. This little Ruby is a tidy example of the Mark II version, finished in the popular colour scheme of red and black. It has chrome headlamps and bumper bars, and a working sunroof, making it the de-luxe model. Standing on good wire wheels, the car runs very well, it starts on-the-button, and drives nicely through the gears with quiet clutch and brakes. An ideal 'first' Austin 7 to use and improve. It runs and drives smoothly and now has a brand new MoT certificate. The tyres are excellent and the engine has good oil pressure and everything seems to work as it should do. This little car is great fun, I have just been bombing around the orchard in it, and it goes very well. It is perfectly useable as it is, but it does need some cosmetic attention, particularly to the upholstery. The engine is sweet as a nut, and the car is quick. Good gear change and brakes. This is a smashing little car in good condition, having just been recommissioned after a little ‘sleep’. These Big Sevens are more spacious than, and just as attractive as the Austin 7 Ruby, and with their slightly bigger engine, they offer very practical pre-war motoring.

This particular car is structurally very good, excellent underneath, and a strong engine with good oil pressure. Starts easily, runs and drives well, with easy to use 4-speed gearbox. Paintwork is good, with only one or two imperfections, finished in a very nice shade of blue with black wings. Seats are good, and door cards are original and would polish up well.

The car has just gone through its MoT test. V5C.

Absolutely splendid little van in excellent condition, having been recently fully restored. Originally converted from a car in the 1980s. The recent, full body-off restoration included a complete repaint, re-timbering of the bodywork refurbishment of the engine and chassis. It has the later Austin 8 engine, a highly desirable conversion. The van starts on the button, has good oil pressure, and everything works. Good wheels and tyres. MoT to August 2015. V5C. The lettering is easily removable, the van would make an excellent advertising medium or show vehicle.

1933 Austin 10/4

  1933 Austin 10/4

A good example of the ever-popular chrome radiator 10/4 saloon, finished in black with excellent olive green interior, a great combination. The car has been extensively restored over the years, including new chroming, new carpets and headlining. The rest of the interior is very good and is mainly original. In all, the vehicle has a lovely patina. Starts well, with good oil pressure, drives well, good battery (12v), tyres and exhaust. Fitted with flashing indicators and period-style mirrors, making this a very useable car. Rear picnic rack, and spare wheel cover (usually missing). V5C and buff log book dating back to 1958.

1968 Austin 1800 Mark II

  1968 Austin 1800 Mark II

What a delightful car to drive - this car is in very good order throughout, and probably drives as well as it did when it left the factory. In fact, I drove it 60 miles home yesterday and had no problems whatsoever in keeping up with modern traffic - even up Sutton Bank (1 in 4)!!!

The interior is excellent, including headlining and carpets which were renewed in 2013. The car has excellent tyres and exhaust, and starts on-the-button. Bodily, the car is good, with only a few little areas that could be improved including a little bit of paintwork. This is a great family car, both spacious and COOL!!! We think it could easily be used daily. This car should appeal to all those who want a classic they can remember their dad driving, and that is very useable, hip and trendy! Not many of these cars survive, and certainly not in such good, original condition. Log book shows 4 previous owners since 1968 and there is a handwritten record of maintenance since 1971. MoT to May 2015, V5C.

1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

1933 Austin 7 RP Box Saloon

This is an excellent example, well finished in the best colour scheme of dark blue and black, complete with sliding sunroof and chrome headlamps. The car had a ground-up restoration, finished in 1983 and has been very well maintained since - we have a logbook of work carried out since that date. This is a very original car, with everything working, it has very good paintwork, dark blue upholstery in excellent condition, recent headlining, carpets in good condition, and original floormats, which have also been retained in the rear, beneath the carpet. Excellent running boards with Austin 7 motif. First class chassis and running gear, wheels and tyres (tyres nearly new). Starts, runs and drives well dynamo charges, good oil pressure, advance and retard throttle levers connected. Indicators have been fitted for safety. MoTd to April 2015, taxed to July 2015. Copy handbook, V5C which states 3 keepers since 1933 (so now 4). This is a really good car, not to be missed.

1935 Austin 7 Pearl Mark I

  1935 Austin 7 Pearl Mark I

Just released after 30 years ownership by the same family, this charming little Pearl Cabriolet is finished in dark green and black and is in very sound condition, ready to use immediately. It has an excellent interior which was renewed in recent years, and the canvas cabriolet hood fits well, although it has two small areas which require stitching. The paintwork is so-so but quite acceptable. The car starts very well, runs and drives nicely. Great fun for the summer. Good history of MoTs from 1984 to 2013. V5C.

1956 Morris Minor Series II Convertible

Genuine factory convertible, in splendid, restored condition. The paintwork, interior, the hood, mechanics, and most importantly, the underneath of the car are in superb condition. The hood fits properly and has a hood cover. New tyres, good exhaust and recent battery, everything works, and the car is a pleasure to drive. You probably won't find better for the price. The car has a good history file, including original logbook from 1956, original operational manual, MoT history, V5C and currently MoTd to May 2015. Come and have a look, you will be impressed. This car is not to be confused with the usual conversions or 'patchwork quilt' examples. Very reasonably priced, so don't miss it.

1932 Austin 7 RN Box Saloon

1932 Austin 7 RN Box Saloon

A good example of the ever-popular Box Saloon. This is the RN model, so a little bit more leg room than the earlier models. It has a 3-speed gearbox, sunroof, and is in very original condition. The underneath is very good, the paintwork is good and the interior is mainly original and is in nice, useable condition. It even has its original rubber mats in the back. Good oil pressure, charging system works. Flashing indicators have been fitted for safety. We think it has its original engine. V5C and buff log book dating back to 1945.

1968 MGC GT 3Ltr Sports Coupe

1968 MGC GT 3Ltr Sports Coupe

A super sports car, with manufacturer's claimed top speed of 126 mph, and 0-60 in 8.8 seconds. This car is structurally very good, having had extensive renovation some years ago, including sills etc. Nice, clean engine bay, good, very original interior with leather seats, original type rubber mats and walnut dashboard. Good sunroof. Body work very good, but the paintwork could be better.

The car drives very well with strong engine and good oil pressure. I think everything works, but the rev counter and overdrive switch need attention. A repaint would make this car first class.

Original green logbook, V5, V5C. MoT to April 2015, taxed exempt). Heritage certificate. A genuine MGC which you can drive and enjoy immediately.

  1935 Austin 7 Ruby Mark I

A nice little pre-war car, in pretty good shape that won’t break the bank. Starts well, runs well and drives nicely, with good, clean bodywork and interior, ready for immediate use. We sold this car to a customer about a year ago, and we have taken it in part-exchange against another Austin 7 he has bought from us, so we know the car very well. A good all-round car at bargain price. V5C.

1934 Standard Nine

  1934 Standard Nine

This is an excellent little car with nice patina, first registered in Rhyl in September 1934, then taken off the road in 1939 at the outbreak of the Second World War. Later on, the car was put into a museum, which explains the low mileage on the clock (around 17,500) which the previous owner believes to be correct, although we have no proof for this. The last owner had the car since 2006. Structurally and bodily, the car seems to be very good, with very nice, original seating, new headlining and renewed carpets. Good working sunroof, good, nearly new tyres. A nice, smooth car to drive, ready for summer rallies. There doesn't seem to be anything to do to the car immediately, apart from maybe a quick service and MoT. V5C and original logbook. A splendid car, at a realistic price, don't miss it!

A good 'starter' Austin 7 to use and improve. A little scruffy in places, but this all adds to the character. This little car goes and drives very well. There is some blooming to the windscreen. Apart from needing a bit of tlc, this is a good little car, and great fun to drive. The previous owner used it regularly on the run to work. No offers on this one, please.
