We have never seen a better unrestored car from the States – this is a genuine Californian car, so dry climate, which has been back in this country since 2016. The bodywork and underside, including chassis and running gear, are all in very good condition (though obviously not black and shiny!) and there appears to be no rot whatsoever in the car. The doors fit properly, the car has obviously been re-sprayed whilst in America, but many years ago and has quite a nice patina. There is only very minor – we mean very minor – surface rust and a few minor dings, as you might expect. The interior is pretty much original, with good seats, useable door cards and original dashboard. The hood and side screens fit well and are quite serviceable, apart from the rear window which needs replacing. The car has its original engine which starts easily and runs well. It drives nicely with good brakes, and the clutch and gearbox work fine, although there is some excessive play on the clutch pedal. We think it would be a pity to restore this car as it is so original and needs only a little work to make it a good everyday user. These cars are easy to drive and offer a vintage style of motoring with a much more modern and useable feel and in our view, there would be little point in changing it to right hand drive. Comes with V5C and box file of history and at the crazy low price of £12,950.
We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for other MGs, or for other pre-war or early post-war cars, and can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.
