This car is a serious piece of engineering, which has been developed over the last 30 or so years. It started life as a Riley Falcon and was converted into a Falcon Special in, we guess, the 1980s. It was later sold by Pioneer Automobiles in 1992 and was then developed into its current form. The whole job has been expertly carried out with first class mechanics, having all the right parts – to include 1500cc 12/4 engine which we understand was heavily breathed upon. The gearbox is a Wilson pre-selector 4-speed and the brakes are rod-operated drums. The bodywork is polished aluminium and has great patina and this is complemented by a smart red interior, which will accommodate a good-sized driver and small mechanic?! The Le Mans style steering wheel is detachable. The mechanics are spotless and the car has a good set of tyres on excellent wire wheels; the exhaust is stainless steel. The car starts easily and provides rapid performance. Subject to acceptance by the various race clubs, the car would be ideal for racing (the headlamps are detachable). The car has previously been MOTd and is totally road-going if required. V5C, good history file. Not for the faint-hearted! Very conservatively priced for a car of this calibre and breed.
