We are pleased to be offering for sale this MG TC, on behalf of a customer in whose ownership the car has been since 1967 (with only a few previous owners). The current owner purchased the car in very much unrestored condition, and set about making it roadworthy for using again in 1972. It was then used until 1988 when a full restoration was begun, with completion around 1996. The car was then used until 2012 before being taken off the road for lack of use. It has now been recommissioned and is ready to be enjoyed. The restoration of 1988 to 1996 comprised a full strip down, total renovation of the bodywork to include new Naylor frame, new panelling, three new wings and bonnet. Obviously, the car was repainted. The mechanics were fully restored, including chassis, brakes, suspension, engine and gearbox. It was rewired, and re-chromed, and new lights were fitted all round. The interior was re-trimmed in beige with leather seats, and correct pocketed door cards, together with a new quality canvas hood and tonneau cover. The dashboard has all the correct dials and everything seems to be in working order. The car starts easily and runs well with good oil pressure and good spoked wheels, however, the tyres are now getting old. The car remains in excellent condition throughout, the paintwork is very good with just a few minor blemishes. The underside is well oiled, so well protected and the engine bay is nicely detailed. Comes with logbook from 1951, V5, current V5C, original instruction manual, special tuning booklet and a list of restoration items.
