First registered on 26th August 1953, this lovely MG, complete with its original registration number, is in superb condition having been extensively restored approximately 5 years ago. The work included complete respray, full re-trim with quality leatherwork and canvas weather gear, and a new solid walnut dashboard. The engine was rebuilt and bored out to 1400cc, and a supercharger was fitted along with a 5-speed gearbox – resulting in a very quick MG TD. Thankfully, the suspension and brakes were upgraded with Koni shock absorbers all round and MGB discs to the front. The car has a stainless steel exhaust, has been fully re-wired and the instruments recalibrated. The restoration was professionally carried out by Cuerden Classics of Preston. The result is a splendid and much quicker-than-standard car and it is great fun to drive. The chrome wire wheels are new, as are the tyres – everything really is in order. This car has been in the same ownership for 24 years, and we understand that it has travelled many reliable miles. File of receipts, old MOTs etc, V5C.
