Just out of long-term ownership (18 years), this splendid MGB is in superb condition throughout and, being an early model, is highly desirable. The car was first registered in June 1966 having been built in December 1965. It has had only 3 owners in total. The car was extensively restored in the late 1980s, and has been meticulously maintained since by a well-known MG specialist. It has only been used in dry weather during its last period of ownership, so is rust-free – the underside of the car and structure is just as good as the rest. The bodywork is finished in its original mineral blue, and the original spec interior is in black with white piping to the leather seats. The under bonnet area is nicely detailed. During the last ownership, the engine, gearbox and overdrive were all rebuilt, as was the suspension. The car stands on alloy centre-lock wheels with five matching Yokohoma tyres, all in good condition – these could easily be changed for wire wheels once you have worn out the current tyres, no point doing it now. The car starts well, and drives very nicely with good performance and smooth transmission including the overdrive. Huge history file including 24 old MOTs, service history etc, V5C and current MOT. A delightful car, not to be missed, serious enquiries only by telephone please.
