An early MGB, first registered on January 1st 1966. British Racing Green, with wire wheels, leather seats, overdrive, 3 synchro gearbox, superb structure – what more could you want for under £7,000? This car has obviously been rebuilt in the past and is structurally excellent, including sills, inner sills, box sections, castle sections, jacking points, wheel arches, wings etc. The paintwork however, is poor, as you can see from the photographs, and unless you fancy an oily rag, the car really wants re-painting, which would probably double its value. The interior is generally in good condition with some wear, with leather seats – mainly original – and recent black carpets, and the door cards are good. The center console is missing. The underside is clean and tidy, the wheels and tyres are good, as is the exhaust. A new hood is needed, but the frame is good. The car runs well with good oil pressure, and the transmission is quiet. It does have overdrive, but this has not been tested as we have not been for a long run in the car as it has not been used for some time. Because of this, from a safety point of view, the car should be checked over, fully serviced (particularly the brakes – the discs need replacing) and MOTd, before taking to the road.
We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for other MGs, and can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.
