This is a delightful little two seater special, which has been in the same ownership for almost twenty years, during which time it has spent far too much time in a barn, not being used enough! We are now looking for a new owner who will need to either carry out a full recommissioning of the vehicle or a light restoration, to improve its ‘oily rag’ condition. The car, which started out life as a standard two seater (convertible), was first registered in May 1932, and some time during the 1950s it was rebodied. This bodywork was replaced with its current boat tail in 1999. From the windscreen backwards, it is aluminium over a timber frame, and the wings and bonnet are all steel. The engine has been changed for a BMC A Series 803cc unit with matching gearbox, again, from the 1950s we think. This makes the car much quicker than it would have been with its original engine and is a great improvement. It starts, runs and stops fine and would make a great runabout. Comes with V5C, old V5 and a few old MOT certificates. Not for the purist, but this is a great, fun car for not a lot of money – vintage style motoring, with a bit more power!
We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or other interesting pre-war cars, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.
We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.
