This is a very smart MGB in its very usable GT form, finished in Flamenco Red with black interior.  The car is generally in good order and has a very good file of service records including invoices for maintenance and restoration work and old MOT certificates.  Mechanically, it has been improved with upgraded brakes including drilled discs, suspension upgrades, electronic ignition, and Ivor Searle reconditioned engine, which provides excellent performance.  Other improvements include the fitting of leather-fronted seats, Minator alloy wheels with recent matching tyres all round, and a new fuel tank.  The interior of the car is good and tidy including headlining, the under-bonnet area is also very tidy, as is the boot and also the underside of the car.  It performs very well, with smooth, lively engine and gearbox, together with properly operating overdrive.  The braking is excellent due to the previously mentioned upgrades, so all in all, a very nice MGB at a very sensible price.  The paperwork file also includes photographs of an earlier body restoration, and workshop manual.

We are very pleased to offer for sale, on behalf of a customer, this very well restored example of the extremely usable classic MGB, well-finished in Brooklands Green with its now quite rare and original ‘deck chair’ seating – unfortunately, most of these original interiors have been torn out by uncaring owners.  This car has had only four owners from new, the current custodian having had the car for 16 years.  After acquiring the car in 2010, the existing owner began restoration work, which has continued for a number of years, and has resulted in a very fine motor car indeed.  It has covered only 82,200 miles, and this is supported by MOT certificates dating back to 2011.  Work over the years has included an extensive body restoration and quality re-paint between 2013 and 2018, and a reconditioned Ivor Searle engine was fitted some 10,000 miles ago in 2013.  Other renewed items over this period include new clutch, new glass, along with overhaul of transmission, suspension and brakes.  There are plenty of old invoices in the file, dating all the way back to 1981, so a good history.  The paintwork is excellent, as is the structure and underside of the car, the interior is all in very good condition including dashboard, headlining, door cards and seats, and the car has good quality rubber mats in the front.  Minator alloy wheels have been fitted with matching tyres all round – otherwise, the car is nice and original in specification.  The engine starts easily and runs well with good performance, smooth gearbox and overdrive and good brakes.  The has an MOT certificate to 29^th April 2027 and paperwork, in addition to the invoices mentioned earlier, includes original Service Passport provided by the dealers who supplied the car from new – Wells of Woodford Green, workshop manual and handbook.

This is a very nice, original car, first registered on 18^th May 1954.  It has had only three separate family owners from new, and is finished in its original and quite rare Metallic Almond Green, which would benefit from a little improvement as it has faded in places, as you can see from the photographs.  However, the bodywork is excellent, with well-fitting panels including the doors, which shut properly on their original catches.  The underside is very good indeed, the painted wire wheels are in good condition, and the original disc wheels come with the car should you wish to change them.  Inside the car is a very nice place to be, with everything in good order, including dashboard, and lovely leather seats.  Good chrome work, with just a few minor blemishes and a useful luggage rack, good quality canvas hood and there is a full set of side screens.  As we say, this is a very original motor car which comes with a history file that includes MOT certificates dating back to 1961 and old registration documents.  Driving the car is a lot of fun, with good performance from its original XPAG engine (which has an unleaded head), light steering, nice 4-speed gearbox and clutch, all of which means that the car is very usable in modern traffic.  Other paperwork includes original handbook, workshop manual, V5C and miscellaneous books.

This is a delightful old car, which has been in its current ownership for almost 20 years.  It was first registered in July 1953, having been built in the June of 1953 – so a very quick sale was achieved!  Finished in MG Red with beige upholstery, black canvas hood and chrome wire wheels – what more could you want?  The car comes with a very good service record going back to 2006 (we don’t have any history before 2005, so please don’t ask!).  It is in generally good order, with just a few age-related marks to the bodywork, but nothing to worry about.  Inside the car, which was retrimmed in 2005, you will find nicely matured leather seats, excellent, correct-style door cards, a tidy dashboard with rare original steering wheel, and good rear luggage compartment.  The canvas hood fits well and is in good order and there is a full tonneau, again in canvas.  The chrome work is generally good, including the very useful luggage rack, and good condition chrome wire wheels, with matching Avon tyres all round. Mechanically, the car is in pretty good fettle and has an MOT certificate to June 2027.  The matching numbers engine was rebuilt in 2018, so is in good order, with good oil pressure etc.  As find with most T Types, the underside is structurally very good and very clean and tidy.  The engine bay has been well-maintained although a little minor cleaning would further improve it.  The car is great fun to drive with good performance and easy gear change.  Paperwork includes lots of old invoices, old MOT certificates back to 2006 when mileage showed 68,000, V5C and workshop manual.  These TDs offer excellent value for money and perform perfectly well in modern traffic.

This is a really good example of the very desirable MGB GT, looking splendid in its shiny black livery.  We understand that the car was restored some years ago, including bodywork, mechanics and interior and it remains in very good condition throughout with only a few age-related marks on the bodywork.  The interior has obviously had a quality revamp with new door cards, carpets and leather-fronted seats.  The headlining and sunroof are in excellent condition as are the dashboard and rear luggage area.  The car stands on Minator alloy wheels, and again, these are in good condition.  The underside is very clean and tidy and structurally excellent, and the under-bonnet area is neat and tidy.  All the panels, including the door panels, fit well.  The car starts easily and drives well, with good performance, correct oil pressure, nice gearbox with working overdrive, good clutch and back axle.  The mileage shows 69,000, and in our opinion this is likely to be correct, although the MOT history we have only dates back to 2006.  Comes with V5C, original handbook, file of old MOT certificates and invoices, and will come with MOT certificate to June 2027.

This is a really nice example of the ever-popular MG TA, looking stunning in its Royal Blue livery.  The car is in good order, and was obviously the subject of a restoration some years ago.  More recently, around 2007, the original type MPJG 1292cc engine was rebuilt, and a new clutch was fitted.  The car was professionally resprayed to a high standard in 2011, along with new chromework, and in 2013 a new, quality double-duck hood, side screen and half tonneau were added.  The car also has a full length vinyl tonneau which is in good order.  All four tyres have been replaced recently with Longstones.   Apart from the restoration work, the car has been very well maintained and there is a good sized file of paperwork which includes invoices dating back to 1984, MOT certificates dating back to 1983, instruction manual, lubrication chart and other maintenance bulletins.  The interior, which is in good order, has a lovely patina and the correct door cards with pockets have been fitted.  The car starts easily and runs and drives just as a TA should.  Good oil pressure, lively performance for a car of this period and original type steering – and the car has flashing indicators.  There is a chrome rear boot rack as you can see.  The underside and under bonnet areas are all clean and tidy.  This is a great, fun car, at a realistic price.

First registered in January 1969, this is a particularly nice example of the iconic MGC, and in this case, the very useable GT version.  Finished in the original colour of Mineral Blue, with black leather interior, recently repainted wire wheels and overdrive – the ideal combination.  The car was the subject of an extensive restoration over a number of years, finally completed around 2003 and properly maintained ever since.  The renovation included bodywork, repaint, overhaul of the mechanics including engine (unleaded), and by the looks of it, new headlining and door cards.  The original black leather seats have been retained.  The bodywork is still very good, with excellent paintwork – only a few age-related blemishes.  The car starts easily, the engine ticks over nicely, and once warmed up, provides a nice smooth drive with plenty of power and good handling.  Good gearbox, clutch, back axle and suspension.  A stainless steel exhaust has been fitted at some stage, together with electronic ignition.  The overdrive works well, nice and smooth, so all in all, everything is in good order.  The engine bay is very clean and tidy, the wheels and tyres are in good order and the underside is clean and sound.  There is a large paperwork file covering the extensive works carried out over the years, and including the history of the car, registration documents, old MOT certificates, old invoices dating back many years, original handbook and MOT certificate to September 2026.

MGCs are marvellous cars to own (we have had one a number of years, and love it), and this particular example has an interesting history.  It was first dispatched to University Motors, the well-known MG distributor on 12 November 1969, then subsequently sold by them in December 1970 … during this period, the car was cosmetically improved, to include a change of colour to its current Black Tulip, with roof section in black vinyl and with a full length folding Webasto sunroof.  We think the walnut dashboard was probably fitted at that stage, and the car came with wire wheels, heated rear window and yes – a heater!  Furthermore, legend has it that only two cars to this specification were ever sold by University Motors and that one of these was at some stage owned by Dave Lee Travis (remember him?!) – and this one, we are told, by Anthony Hamilton. The car was restored approximately ten years ago and the accompanying file includes a photographic record – this included bodywork and respray and a refresh of the interior.  The car is in very good structural order, the paintwork polishes up quite nicely, with one or two areas requiring a little cosmetic improvement.  The inside is good, including the  nice, leather seats, and the headlining is also good.  The part-vinyl roof and Webasto sunroof are again, in good order, the chromework is good but not perfect and the wire wheels are all excellent.  The underneath is clean and tidy and very sound and the suspension and brakes work very well.  These six-cylinder engines provide plenty of power and bags of torque, so very good to drive and this particular example has overdrive, which works very smoothly.  All in all, an excellent MGC, ready for daily use.  Comes with large paperwork file, V5C, Heritage Certificate and MOT.
