1968 MGC GT with Overdrive – SOLD

1968 MGC GT with Overdrive

This very original MGC, finished in Snowberry White with black interior, was built in November 1968 and first registered in August 1969.  Originally supplied by Wheatley Motors Ltd  of Stockton-on-Tees, it still retains its original Middlesbrough registration number and original engine and has been in long-term ownership – some 30 years – since 1995, with only three owners from new.  There is a good history file with the car, which gives a good idea of the maintenance throughout its life, including mechanical work, bodywork and paintwork.  The interior of the car appears to be all original, although to be honest, it would benefit from a little improvement.  The headlining is very good.  The glass, including windscreen, which is etched, is in good order, the bodywork, which has obviously had some restoration including a repaint several years ago, is good – as are all the seams, as you can see from the photographs.  The underside structure of the car is good.  The car was originally purchased with wire wheels and overdrive as extras and these are all in good order.  A new clutch has just been fitted, the gearbox has been rebuilt, and the radiator refurbished.   The under-bonnet area is nice and tidy.  Mechanically, the car runs very well with plenty of power, good oil pressure, and the suspension and brakes all seem to be working fine.  All round, a very good, unspoilt  car, realistically priced to allow for a little work to the interior, but extremely useable as it is.  Paperwork also includes Heritage Certificate, V5C and workshop manual and MOT to February 2026 with no advisories.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1974 MGB GT with Overdrive – SOLD – MORE NEEDED

1974 MGB GT with Overdrive

Beautifully finished in Snowberry White, this is an excellent example of the ever-popular MGB GT – a very usable classic sports car.  The car was extensively restored a few years ago, both bodily and mechanically and the interior was also restored, including good quality leather seats.  It has obviously been very well maintained since then, and remains in very good order throughout.  A new exhaust was fitted recently, along with a brand new set of Uniroyal tyres.  The bodywork is pretty much unmarked with very well-fitting panels, good seams front and back, and the boot and under-bonnet areas are well finished in body-colour paint.  The underside of the car including sills, castle sections, jacking points etc, is all in very good condition and the whole under-body area is nice and clean and tidy.  The car drives very well indeed, with strong engine , good clutch, quiet gearbox and back axle, and properly working overdrive.  The interior is very good, with excellent dashboard, seats, headlining and good carpets.  Comes with clean MOT to 24/10/26, V5C, and the usual free historic tax and low insurance.  Offered for sale only due to unforeseen circumstances – and not to be missed.

1949 MG TC – SOLD

1949 MG TC

A lovely old MG TC with character, having been regularly used throughout its life.  We understand that the car belonged to a doctor between 1964 and 2016 – so some 52 year ownership – during which time it was restored by the good doctor.  The car has a lovely patina – the paintwork is a little tired in places – and the green interior is nicely mellowed. The mechanics are good and the structure of the car also appears to be good.  The underside is clean and tidy indeed and good and sound.  The car starts easily and drives well with its original type XPAG engine and 4-speed gearbox.  Good oil pressure, no overheating and charges properly.  Wheels and tyres are all in good order as are the hood and side screens.  Indicators have been fitted for safety – a very neat job.  All ready to use and enjoy.  A delightful old car ready for regular use.  Comes with original log book and continuation book, V5C, Manual and some really lovely old black and white photographs of the car in the 1960s.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

1970 MGB Roadster with Overdrive – SOLD

1970 MGB Roadster with Overdrive

This is an extremely nice MGB Roadster, first registered in September 1970, and originally supplied by Mann Egerton.  The car was fully restored in 2009/10 by Former Glory, including a full body strip with all the usual body panels being replaced ie sills, doors etc.  It was repainted in dark British Racing Green and this is still in first class condition today.  The chromework and windscreen were renewed, the gearbox and back axle, and cylinder head were renewed, as was the suspension and the brakes – including the fitting of drilled brake discs.  A complete re-trim was carried out including leather-faced seats to the correct specification and a new quality mohair hood.  The current owner has recently had a new water pump fitted, an engine tune-up and a new exhaust.  A new overdrive unit was fitted in 2020.  The car is in very, very good condition indeed, bodily, structurally and mechanically, with lively engine, good oil pressure and no overheating.  Handling is good and the gearbox and back axle are nice and quiet.  The under-bonnet area is in nice order with good paintwork and the painted boot is carpeted.  The chrome wire wheels are in good order and they are fitted with quality matching tyres all round.  Paperwork includes old and recent invoices, Heritage Certificate, MOT certificate to 29/9/26 and V5C.  This is a top class car, ready for immediate use.

1967 MGB GT Mk I with Overdrive – SOLD

1967 MGB GT Mk I with Overdrive

This extremely good example of the highly desirable Mk I GT was built, according to the Heritage Certificate, between 24th and 28th February 1967.  Later that year, the car was dispatched to a dealer in the USA, where it remained until 1993.  At this point, it was treated to a new interior and converted to right-hand drive.  It was then sold on, and the next owner had the car totally stripped to bare metal, and completely repainted.  At the same time, the engine, gearbox, overdrive and back axle were all rebuilt by Park Engineering of Malton.  A stainless steel exhaust has been fitted.  Coming from the ‘right part’ of America, the car was rust-free anyway, and the body remains very original to this day.  Extras at the time of the original sale when new, were the wire wheels – still in good order – heater, ashtray and cigar lighter (wow).   The car is still in its original colour of British Racing Green, with black interior, having white piping to the seats, all in very good condition.  It has now been serviced and MOT tested and drives very well indeed, with good performance enhanced by the working overdrive.  The bodywork is in good order as is the structure and the underside of the car.  Paperwork file includes old MOT certificates, invoices, V5 from 1997, Heritage Certificate, V5C and current MOT certificate.  A real head-turner.
