This is a very original specification, early MGB, complete with Heritage Certificate showing that the car was built in Abingdon in August 1967.  Originally an American export, this car returned to the UK in the early 2000s, and was then extensively restored by a retired garage owner.  Coming from the right area of the USA, it was pretty much rust-free, but required mechanical and cosmetic restoration.  The car changed hands to the current owner in 2013, and the completion of the rebuild and improvement occurred over the next few years.  It is now in very good condition with excellent bodywork, paintwork and trim, which was replaced during the restoration.  The underside is clean and sound, and the engine bay and spare tyre compartment are clean and tidy.  The wire wheels are in good condition.  The car starts easily and the engine provides very good performance, mated to its four-speed gearbox.  Good oil pressure.  Internally, the seats, dashboard, door cards and carpets are all in good order – the headlining would benefit from a little bit of attention, but doesn’t need replacing.  Accompanying paperwork includes Heritage Certificate, old MOT certificates, garage invoices and a handwritten account of all the work carried out.  This is a good value, early car.

A truly lovely old car, just out of 20 year ownership.  The car was restored in the late 1980s and has been kept in excellent condition ever since.  Finished in Blue Royale with black leather interior, including leather sports seats.  Dark blue canvas hood, chrome wire wheels, so looking very smart indeed.  This is a really nice car to drive, with good gearbox and overdrive and quiet transmission.  Comes with a good file of paperwork, recent MOT, V5C and handbook.  Such a good car, it sold straight away – so you’ve already missed it!!!
