This is a lovely MG TF, nicely finished in its original and rare shade of Birch Grey, with complimentary red interior, and competed by a light tan hood and side screens – this is an excellent colour combination as you can see. The car is in very good condition throughout, having been extensively restored around 2012 – 2015, to include some new body panels, a complete respray and quality retrim in leather. The timber body frame was restored some years ago during a previous restoration. Mechanically, the car is excellent, with strong engine which had an unleaded head fitted in 2011, good oil pressure and no overheating. The charging system works well as do the dials (we have not tested the fuel warning light). The matching tyres are in good condition – fitted to the original steel disc wheels, the underside is very clean indeed and the exhaust is in good condition. The car starts easily and is a delight to drive, with nice 4-speed gearbox, no strange noises and plenty of performance from its original engine. Other paperwork includes continuation book from 1969, V5, current V5C, detailed list of parts bought during the restoration and a detailed account of bodywork repairs and repaint. Comes with workshop manual and MOT to February 2024.
