1949 MG TC – SOLD

1949 MG TC

A lovely old MG TC with character, having been regularly used throughout its life.  We understand that the car belonged to a doctor between 1964 and 2016 – so some 52 year ownership – during which time it was restored by the good doctor.  The car has a lovely patina – the paintwork is a little tired in places – and the green interior is nicely mellowed. The mechanics are good and the structure of the car also appears to be good.  The underside is clean and tidy indeed and good and sound.  The car starts easily and drives well with its original type XPAG engine and 4-speed gearbox.  Good oil pressure, no overheating and charges properly.  Wheels and tyres are all in good order as are the hood and side screens.  Indicators have been fitted for safety – a very neat job.  All ready to use and enjoy.  A delightful old car ready for regular use.  Comes with original log book and continuation book, V5C, Manual and some really lovely old black and white photographs of the car in the 1960s.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1970 MGB Roadster with Overdrive – SOLD

1970 MGB Roadster with Overdrive

This is an extremely nice MGB Roadster, first registered in September 1970, and originally supplied by Mann Egerton.  The car was fully restored in 2009/10 by Former Glory, including a full body strip with all the usual body panels being replaced ie sills, doors etc.  It was repainted in dark British Racing Green and this is still in first class condition today.  The chromework and windscreen were renewed, the gearbox and back axle, and cylinder head were renewed, as was the suspension and the brakes – including the fitting of drilled brake discs.  A complete re-trim was carried out including leather-faced seats to the correct specification and a new quality mohair hood.  The current owner has recently had a new water pump fitted, an engine tune-up and a new exhaust.  A new overdrive unit was fitted in 2020.  The car is in very, very good condition indeed, bodily, structurally and mechanically, with lively engine, good oil pressure and no overheating.  Handling is good and the gearbox and back axle are nice and quiet.  The under-bonnet area is in nice order with good paintwork and the painted boot is carpeted.  The chrome wire wheels are in good order and they are fitted with quality matching tyres all round.  Paperwork includes old and recent invoices, Heritage Certificate, MOT certificate to 29/9/26 and V5C.  This is a top class car, ready for immediate use.

1967 MGB GT Mk I with Overdrive – SOLD

1967 MGB GT Mk I with Overdrive

This extremely good example of the highly desirable Mk I GT was built, according to the Heritage Certificate, between 24th and 28th February 1967.  Later that year, the car was dispatched to a dealer in the USA, where it remained until 1993.  At this point, it was treated to a new interior and converted to right-hand drive.  It was then sold on, and the next owner had the car totally stripped to bare metal, and completely repainted.  At the same time, the engine, gearbox, overdrive and back axle were all rebuilt by Park Engineering of Malton.  A stainless steel exhaust has been fitted.  Coming from the ‘right part’ of America, the car was rust-free anyway, and the body remains very original to this day.  Extras at the time of the original sale when new, were the wire wheels – still in good order – heater, ashtray and cigar lighter (wow).   The car is still in its original colour of British Racing Green, with black interior, having white piping to the seats, all in very good condition.  It has now been serviced and MOT tested and drives very well indeed, with good performance enhanced by the working overdrive.  The bodywork is in good order as is the structure and the underside of the car.  Paperwork file includes old MOT certificates, invoices, V5 from 1997, Heritage Certificate, V5C and current MOT certificate.  A real head-turner.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1972 MGB GT with Overdrive – SOLD

1972 MGB GT with Overdrive

First registered on 1st September 1972, this is a very affordable example of the iconic MGB GT, in a shade of British Racing Green with black interior, and looking very smart on its Minator alloy wheels with matching Yokohama tyres all round.  The car appears to have been off the road for a few years, but has now been recommissioned by the mechanic owner, including a full service, the fitting of a new fuel pump, overhaul of carburettors, new water pump and overhaul of the cylinder head.  The underside of the car looks to be nice and sound, including castle sections, jacking points and spring hangers, and the interior has been improved with some new seat covers and a walnut dashboard;  also proper, quality floor mats.  The body is clean and tidy, but a little improvement to the paintwork wouldn’t go amiss – hence the price.  The car starts and drives well, and would make a good daily user.  There is large file of paperwork, including photographs of an earlier restoration, invoices, old MOT certificates etc, and MOT to 6/10/26.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

2005 MG TF 135 – SOLD

2005 MG TF 135

Now, here’s a real bargain for you! This smashing little MG TF is in good fettle for its age and mileage, and offers an excellent opportunity to enter the classic sportscar market. The car has had only four owners, and is MOTd to April 2026. It has a very tidy interior, and is in clean condition under the bonnet and in the rear boot. This car has been used and serviced regularly by the current owner who has had the car for five years, during which time it has had a new head gasket, water pump, water pipes and cam belt. It has also had new tyres to the rear recently, and rear discs and pads. Being a 135 bhp model, it has loads of power and drives very well indeed, with no strange noises – all in working order. The low asking price takes account of the high mileage (129, 000) and some less-than-perfect paintwork on one side. Paperwork includes old MOT certificates, V5C and handbook.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

2003 MG TF Stepspeed (Automatic)

An excellent example of the ever-popular and versatile steptronic MG TF, offering the option of manual sport mode gear change without the use of clutch, or the alternative of paddle-shift gear change.  The car is well finished in metallic British Racing Green with grey cloth interior and black, easy-to-erect canvas hood (around 10 seconds).  The paintwork is in very good order as is the very nice interior – good dashboard, door cards etc.  The underside is very good indeed.  Over the last few years, it has had a new head gasket, timing belt and tensioner, water pump, water pipes, and a new clutch.  The engine bay is very clean and tidy, as is the boot and the wheels are in good condition.  An all-round good driver, with plenty of power, and the usual good handling.  Comes with MOT to August 2026, and mileage of 65,000 which we believe to be correct.  These cars are truly great value for money – don’t miss this one.
