1974 MG Midget Mk III 1275 – SOLD

1974 MG Midget Mk III 1275

We think the lucky purchaser of this car will be delighted.  The car was built between 15th and 19th March 1974, and dispatched to the dealer, Weybridge Automobiles Ltd, Surrey, before being sold and registered to its first owner on 6th May 1974.  The car is in splendid condition, having been treated to a brand new Heritage shell in 1993, when it was painted in Mallard Green.  At this time, many of the mechanical parts were renewed or overhauled, leaving the car in A1 condition at that point, and it has been extremely well maintained ever since.  The paintwork is very good as is the trim, which was professionally renewed at a later stage, including quality leather-fronted seats, new carpets, door cards and very good double-duck hood.  The wire wheels are in good fettle, and are fitted with low mileage, matching tyres.  The boot area is well-painted as is the engine bay.  As the car has a Heritage body, the panels all fit well, and the underside is in very good order.  This smashing MG is a joy to drive with responsive engine, nice gearbox and quiet back axle.  It drives very well with good performance and the usual ‘go-kart-like’ handling – all round, terrific fun for not much money.  Included with the car are a full tonneau and hood cover – both excellent.  The file of paperwork includes a photographic record of the restoration, Heritage Certificate, old MOT certificates, old invoices, handbook and MOT to April 2027.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1969 MGB GT with Overdrive – SOLD

1969 MGB GT with Overdrive

This is a truly lovely old motor car, just out of long-term ownership (26 years), which was first registered on 17th July 1969.  According to its Heritage Certificate, the car is still in its original colour of gloss black, and was dispatched to University Motors Garage Ltd in London in April 1969 before being sold to its first owner.  The car has an extensive history, with a large file including details of restoration – including photographs – maintenance, MOT history etc, and it has been very well maintained along the way (all detailed in a history log), with the most recent substantial restoration having been carried out in 2001.  The car has been lovingly cared for by its current owner, who has thoroughly enjoyed his period of ownership.  The current condition is very good indeed, with good paintwork and good interior, including dashboard, seats, carpets and door cards.  A folding Webasto-style sunroof has been fitted, and this is in good order.  The structure of the car is very good – clean and tidy underneath with good sills, floors, wings etc.  It is a great example to drive, with plenty of performance, good handling, good oil pressure and no overheating.  The car is fitted with overdrive which is nice and smooth.  The painted spoked wheels and tyres are very good.  Comes with Heritage Certificate, old registration documents, V5C, Driver’s Handbook, Workshop Manuals and MOT certificate to April 2027.  This is a very nice MGB, and not to be missed.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1973 MGB GT with Overdrive – SOLD – MORE NEEDED

1973 MGB GT with Overdrive

First registered in August 1973, this MGB GT in Brooklands Green has had only four owners, and would make a great starter classic, or ‘entry level’ MGB.  For much of its life, it was professionally maintained by The York MG Centre, and it has been well cared for mechanically by the current owner.  The structure of the car appears good, but there are a few bodywork issues to deal with as you can see from the walk-round video and photographs.  The black interior includes leather-faced seats, with good headlining and door cards.  The Rostyle wheels are in good condition.  The car starts easily, and performs well with smooth, working overdrive, good oil pressure, no over-heating, and good brakes.  Comes with MOT to January 2027, workshop manual, good history file dating back to 1989 with a potted history of the car put together by the current owner.  A good example to use and improve.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1967 MGB Roadster with Overdrive – SOLD

1967 MGB Roadster with Overdrive

This very nice MGB, first registered on 11th January 1967 – so probably built in 1966 – not only looks splendid in its British Racing Green livery, but drives very well, has excellent bodywork, re-trimmed interior and recent chrome wire wheels, all of which make it a very desirable example.  The car has had only three owners from new, the first of whom had the car until 1984.  At this time, we understand that the car had been laid up for several years, so was duly restored between 1984 and 1992.  There was then a refresh to bring it back up to scratch in 2010, including a full repaint.  Constant improvement work has included seat re-trim, unleaded head, and more recently, new fuel pump and starter motor.  The car is very much original in specification and we have removed the wooden dashboard cover to bring it back to standard – much nicer.  It drives nicely, with good performance, properly working overdrive, 3 synchro gearbox and  5-bearing engine – all in good working order.  Comes with full tonneau, large paperwork file including old invoices, lots of old MOT certificates, old registration documents, workshop manual and MOT to November 2026.  All in all, a very good opportunity.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for other interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1967 MG Midget 1275 – SOLD – more MG Midgets wanted

1967 MG Midget

Restored some 16 years ago, by a previous owner’s father, this fine example of the ever-popular Midget remained in the same family ownership from restoration right up to 2025, when we sold it to the current owner.  The car was extensively renovated including bodywork, mechanics and interior trim.  It has been kept in first class condition all these years, still with good paintwork, excellent interior, and seats refurbished to the original specification.  The underside of the car is very good, still painted red, with good structure.  Good original chrome bumpers and wire wheels, and a quality canvas hood and tonneau cover (the latter is a bit tight).  In our opinion, there is more space in these early Midgets, than in the later models because of the style of seating.  These cars are great fun to drive, with nippy performance and good handling – everyone should own one at least once!!  Comes with MOT certificate to July 2026, V5C and some photos of the restoration.

Please note, these photographs are from last summer, and the car is in the same condition now.  We will re-photograph it if ever it stops raining … SOLD in 48 hours – so before the rain stopped!!
